Gangster rap is keeping me real

Here is another music video project I had the good fortune of working on for a company working for P. Diddy.  Here is some key frame art.  It was a rush job that I had to crank out over night... there were 4 total but I'm not showing the fourth because it actually says the artist's name in the background... and I think all this is still hush hush..

Let me tell you of the days of high adventure...

Here are some character designs I'm working on for a game.  There will be four or five more in the line-up.  It's looking very cool.  Very.. western/steampunk.  These sketches still need to be finalized and painted... I'll put those up in a few days.

Figure Drawing in the Workshops

I haven't been to a workshop in years..  I've thought about going off and on for a while but I finally went with a friend of mine last week.  It was more fun than I remembered... and all the old skills and techniques came right back.. like riding a bike.  I guess you would call this more traditional than what I usually do.. but all the same, it was just as fun.

Mynxx - Music Video

I did this last month for a pretty well know Art Director turn Director DC5.  This is for a Russian pop star names Mynxx.  She's was in town to shoot this music video for her next big hit.  There were a few really busy club scenes.  They turned out pretty good though.  This was 3 day job, I wish I would have had more time to throw some value on these.  I think that would have put them over the top.  Oh well, you do your very best with what you're given I suppose.  Check it out.

These Chicks Rock!

Hey guys, I just finished a music video for a Bay Area production studio.  It turned out really well.  I can't wait to see the video.   As in many videos, there's always a bit of a story that captures the emotions of the song.  This happens before the music begins, so I guess it's part of the opening scenes that kicks off the music.

Here the band is going over the plan before they step out of their car and bust in to some poor guys' house.  I had a good time doing it.  The director was great to work with.  The past couple of jobs have been brought to me under rushed conditions, with this one I was given a good amount of time to bring the words to life so...  much appreciated.  Everyone was very pleased with how the boards came out, myself included.

I Want Him Dead - Storyboards

This was a fun job.  It was for a short film titled "I want him dead."  It's about how a girl gets revenge on her bad ex-boyfriend in a very Looney Tunes type way.  It's a very funny script.  I think it should be out by spring or early summer for all the various film festivals.

The image reads top to bottom starting on the left and continues on to the rows on the right.  The last two frames are a a very long camera movement to the right which establishes the entire setting of the photo shoot.  It was a pretty fast job.  I had to board the entire film in about two weeks, but everyone was happy.
